The company stated that FWD MedSecure Direct is an online hospital cash income plan which provides coverage and cash allowance for every day you’re hospitalised.
What should you know about FWD MedSecure Direct
FWD MedSecure Direct also offers an option to cover accidental medical reimbursement benefits to be attachable to the plan. In addition, participants are entitled to a 20% discount if no claims are made within the past two (2) certificate years, thus contribution amount will reduce by 20% on the next certificate year.
FWD MedSecure Direct provides the option for an individual plan, couple plan, family plan or single parent plan. As for family plan, up to 2 children will be covered and future contributions shall be waived in the event the certificate owner passes away. This feature of waiver of contribution is also
made available for couple and single parent plans.
The complimentary special extension of coverage and benefits for COVID-19 is now extended to FWD MedSecure Direct too. Certificate owners will be entitled to an additional death benefit of RM20,000 upon person covered’s death due to COVID-19. The company will also pay a special lump sum compassionate benefit of RM5,000 per person upon immediate family member’s death or diagnosis with COVID-19.
