foodpanda Malaysia transformed Sentul Depot into a vibrant hub, uniting over 1,000 delivery partners and their loved ones for Panda Fiesta 2026, the largest gathering in the company’s history, honoring the dedication and contributions of those who keep Malaysia moving.
The heart of the festival was the #AnugerahHeroTapau awards, where foodpanda celebrated 600 of its top-performing delivery partners with a total prize pool of RM431,000, comprising gold bars and a brand-new Proton Saga.

Shubham Saran, Operations Director of foodpanda Malaysia, said, “Our delivery heroes are the heartbeat of our platform, and their dedication is the foundation of our success. While Panda Fiesta is a celebration of their resilience, this celebration is just one way we show appreciation for what they do every day. With our panda hearts initiative, we are committed to creating an environment where our partners feel truly valued and supported. By investing in their wellbeing, safety and personal growth, we are not just building a stronger community, we are shaping a more sustainable and prosperous gig economy for all Malaysians.”

The awards ceremony was graced by YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), who highlighted the meaningful role delivery partners play in supporting communities and local businesses across Malaysia. She stated, “The celebration recognised delivery partners not only for their performance but for the essential service they provide to our nation’s social and economic fabric. I welcome initiatives that go beyond recognition to provide tangible, long-term support – strengthening the skills, welfare and economic opportunities for gig workers and their families alike.”

One of the most memorable moments of the day was the announcement of the Grand Prize winner, Mohamad Anuar Bin Tajuddin, 48 years old, who shared, “I never expected that delivering orders would lead to me driving home a brand-new Proton Saga. This is more than a prize. It proves that our hard work on the road is truly seen and valued.”
Recognising the physical demands of the job, foodpanda Malaysia partnered with Voltra to introduce the Ezzy Shoes, designed for durability and comfort for long hours on the road. 500 pairs will be awarded to selected delivery partners in recognition of their exceptional service. The shoes will be available for purchase via the foodpanda Rider Shop and Voltra’s stores.
Panda Fiesta 2026, a family-centric festival, included engaging activities like the Panda Challenge Corner and arm wrestling, as well as a playground for children. Delivery partners with small businesses had the chance to showcase their products.
Lucky draw prizes worth RM17,000 were awarded, alongside the announcement of the Durian Runtuh 2026 Mid-Year Award for continued community recognition. The event benefited from strong partner support and featured Panda Pitstop sessions for delivery partners to share feedback.
