foodpanda Malaysia “Wajib Try Ni!” inviting foodies to rediscover local favorites/

foodpanda Malaysia has launched its campaign “Wajib Try Ni!” to showcase hidden gems that define our streets and help Malaysians experience local favourites that reflect the country’s rich food culture while supporting local businesses.

The campaign emphasizes foodpanda’s commitment to helping its vendors and the Make Life Delicious promise of providing joy through food. It features a variety of vendors, from local favorites to new homegrown brands, making it simpler for consumers to find meals that are a must-try.

Kenneth Soh, Managing Director at foodpanda Malaysia said, “In a world where convenience is key, we believe that the joy of discovery is what truly makes life delicious. “Wajib Try Ni!” is our way of ensuring that the heart and soul of our food scene, our local vendors, remain at the forefront of the digital economy. We are not just delivering meals but we are connecting Malaysians to the stories, heritage, and passion behind every bite.”

The campaign starts in Penang, a city famous for its rich food culture.

One of the local heroes is Sue, the founder of Nasi Lemak Ciksue. She continues a 70-year family tradition with her late mother’s recipes. Joining foodpanda changed her business, as delivery became important for sales, helping her traditional dishes reach more locals and tourists. Her Nasi Lemak Ayam Bakar and Nasi Kerabu Harimau Menangis are must-try highlights.

In the city, Ikat Tepi Kopitiam brings Malaysian daily life to the forefront with beloved dishes. They mentioned that foodpanda has helped them attract more customers, often serving as a way for people to discover their food before visiting in person. Their Nasi Lemak Lipat Tiga Segi and Kopi Signature are top picks for an authentic experience.

Frank Laurent Coffee Roasters, a local café in Penang, combines skilled coffee-making with new Superfreeze Espresso technology for consistent quality. Being on foodpanda has helped them reach more people while staying true to Penang’s roots. Their Signature Coffee and Matcha drinks are must-tries for coffee enthusiasts.

As part of the campaign, foodpanda Malaysia will activate a series of curated food discovery content, spotlighting the food and people across different regions of the country. Malaysians can stay tuned to foodpanda Malaysia’s Instagram and Facebook for upcoming campaign highlights.
