Dyson Malaysia has launched the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai, the brand’s first robotic vacuum designed for both wet and dry cleaning. This innovative device detects, reacts, and avoids obstacles with precision, simplifying the cleaning process. It combines AI-powered object recognition, smart navigation, and a self-cleaning wet roller for intelligent home cleaning.
The robotic vacuum utilizes a three-step cleaning method, mimicking human spot-cleaning. It identifies hidden stains and dirt with a green laser and AI camera, adapting its cleaning in real-time. The vacuum reconfirms the area, continuing until stains are cleared. It recognizes nearly 200 objects, including cables and socks, optimizing its cleaning routes to avoid missed spots.
Owners can start a spot clean using the MyDyson app, pinpointing specific areas for targeted cleaning. After each session, the robot creates a “Clean Map” in the app that displays where it encountered objects and where cleaning occurred.
The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai uses LiDAR and AI vision to map home layouts and label rooms for easier cleaning through the MyDyson app. Its dual-laser system and adaptive software help avoid obstacles like socks and pet poop, enabling efficient operation in cluttered spaces.
The machine has a self-cleaning microfibre wet roller with a 12-point hydration system that delivers fresh, heated water as it cleans. The roller cleans itself with each rotation, ensuring only clean fibres touch the floor. It extends 40mm to let it clean up to the skirting board, tackling areas that gather dirt.
The bagless cyclonic dock hygienically empties dry debris with 10 powerful Dyson root cyclones for optimal performance. The micro-fibre roller is cleaned with heated anti-bacterial solution and 60°C water, then dried with 45°C hot air to prevent mould and odour.
