Ducati Streetfighter V4 – A naked Panigale V4 that offers riding excitement
So what is the Ducati Streetfighter V4? It’s a Panigale V4 with stripped off fairings, a high and wide handlebar, 178 kg (dry weight) on the scale, powered by the 1100 cc Desmosedici Stradale delivering 208 hp, aerodynamically enhanced with biplane wings, and finished off with a complete electronics package. This is the “Fight Formula” that gives life to the Streetfighter V4.
Packed with a full-LED headlights and V-shaped DRL like the Panigale V4, the design will impressed anyone with its minimalist approach. The compact headlights are embedded in a meticulously designed dual-layer fairing that incorporates the air-box and LED cooling intakes, while a rear deflector diverts airflow from impacting the tank directly. The bike’s elegant yet aggressive design is complete with a front cover that hides the fixings and wirings of the TFT display.
Ducati Corse specialists together with the Ducati Style Centre developing the aerodynamic biplane wings for the Streetfighter V4, it will help the bike on maximum stability at high speed and when braking, reduced wheel-up during acceleration and minimized electronic control of the suspension set-up. Along with 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU), the electronics on the bike will manage start, acceleration, braking and handle traction, while lend a helping hand in corners and out-of-corner stretches.
The Streetfighter V4 S is also launched and features Marchesini forged wheels and Öhlins electrically controlled suspension (43 mm NIX30 forks and TTX36 monoshock) and steering damper. The bike also uses the second-generation Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 system which, in addition to making full use of the IMU 6D, provides a more rider-friendly interface.
