DJI Osmo Pocket 4P is available in Malaysia and here is what you need to know

DJI has globally launched the Osmo Pocket 4P, which the brand’s first dual-lens pocket gimbal camera. The device is slated to be available in Malaysia, however, let’s learn what the dual-lens pocket gimbal camera by DJI can brings to enhance your content creation.

The Osmo Pocket 4P features dual lenses that achieve cinematic effects, from wide-angle cityscapes to delicate portraits. The primary 1-inch CMOS wide-angle lens (20mm format equivalent, f/2.0 aperture) uses LOFIC technology, delivering 17 stops of dynamic range and supporting up to 4K/240 fps video. These features handle high-contrast scenes like nightscapes and sunsets effortlessly. Additionally, the new 60mm med-tele lens offers a classic portrait focal length, 3× optical zoom, and up to 12× zoom¹. Its f/1.8 aperture compresses background for a blurred effect, creating impactful, cinematic visuals.

The Osmo Pocket 4P can capture up to 8x ultra-HD slow motion at 4K/240 fps, making it perfect for dynamic moments like spinning subjects and falling snow. The Slow Shutter Video feature lets you create motion blur or capture movement trails for a unique visual effect. Its new 10-bit D-Log 2 color profile and 17 stops of dynamic range¹ maintain excellent highlight and shadow details, comparable to premium cinema cameras. With a 10-bit color depth that captures over one billion colors, tonal transitions are very smooth, offering great flexibility for color grading in post-production.

The Osmo Pocket 4P builds on DJI’s reputation in professional filmmaking, including the acclaimed Ronin stabilization system. Weighing just 230 g, its advanced 3-axis gimbal keeps your footage smooth and steady. The improved ActiveTrack 8.0 keeps subjects like people, vehicles, and pets centered in the frame, even at 12x Zoom, and automatically adjusts to prioritize one subject or center multiple subjects at any focal length.

There is also built-in 103 GB storage on the Osmo Pocket 4P, offering users to start recording first and can subsequently get a microSD card to further expand the storage. According to DJI, the Pocket 4P has a 210 mins operating time ^{(Tested at room temperature of 25° C (77° F) and 1080p/24fps (16:9), with Wi-Fi off and screen off. This data is for reference only.)} For charging time, it takes 18 mins to 80% and 32 mins to 100%.

The Osmo Pocket 4P builds on the improved user experience of the standard version, offering several user-friendly features to simplify the creative process, including:

• Gesture Control: Flash an open pam to trigger ActiveTrack or flash a “V” sign to start recording
• 4K Live Photo¹: Capture memories in motion by automatically recording 1.5-second clips for every photo in 4K detail
• 37MP High-Res Photo: Snap up to 37MP photos with crystal-clear details that can be reframed during post production.
• 800 MB/s High-speed Transfer¹: USB 3.1 support enables wired transfer speeds up to 800 MB/s¹ for near-instant export and a more efficient workflow.
• Extended Runtime & Fast Charging: Recharge from 0 to 80% in just 18 minutes¹ for up to three hours of shooting. When fully charged, it offers an impressive runtime of up to 210 minutes¹.
