Disney+ Hotstar has released the teaser poster of TIRA, an original series from Disney+ Hotstar in Indonesia. The poster made its debut at the main panel of Indonesia Comic Con 2022 on 1 October 1.
Helmed by Zahir Omar (Fly By Night), “Tira” is produced in collaboration with Screenplay Bumilangit and Asian Television Award-winner Joko Anwar (Satan’s Slave, Gundala), Wicky V. Olindo, also Bismarka Kurniawan as producers, Anthony Buncio as showrunner, Kevin Ryan Himawan as co-producer, and Aline Djayasukmana as the head writer along with Septian Adiwibowo, Pratiwi Juliani, and Mian Tiara. The 8 episodes live action series is slated to premiere exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar in 2023.
“Tira” is the first live action series from Jagat Sinema Bumilangit (Bumilangit Cinematic Universe), the home of thousands of notable local superhero characters from Bumilangit comic books. Serving as the prequel of the highly anticipated movie “Godam & Tira”, the series will follow the origin story of Suci, a 23-years old aspiring stuntwoman who accidentally dragged herself into an ancient power conspiracy which threatens her life. After rescuing nine kids from a mysterious ritual, Suci is struck with a curse. While Suci spends her days thriving to achieve her long-time dream as a successful stuntwoman, now she must fight for her life too.
Featuring a star-studded cast including Chelsea Islan as Suci/Tira, Jeremie J Tobing as Haikal, Bhisma Mulia as Ben, Agnes Naomi as Maudy, Karina Suwandi as Widya, and many more, “Tira” is ready to join the ever-growing library of Disney+ Hotstar soon.
