DENZA Malaysia has launched the DENZA Z9GT in Asia Pacific, starting at RM358,800, setting a new standard in luxury grand touring for Malaysian drivers.
Set against the stunning Kuala Lumpur skyline and the KL Petronas Twin Towers, the launch event celebrated DENZA’s latest flagship model with a blend of automotive innovation and luxury. Guests enjoyed a multi-sensory experience with a string quartet, opera performance, ballerina showcase, and demonstrations of the DENZA Z9GT’s features like Compass Turn and Crab Walk, powered by the e3 Platform. The evening ended with a dazzling fireworks display, signaling a new era in intelligent luxury mobility.
The evening featured Mr. Liu Xueliang, Vice President of BYD, who shared the company’s journey of technological advancement and commitment to intelligent mobility.
Mr. Liu emphasized BYD’s commitment to innovation, with a global team of over 123,000 R&D engineers focused on new energy vehicle technologies. He noted that technological innovation is integral to BYD’s mission for safer and more efficient mobility solutions. Additionally, he highlighted key achievements, including the production of 17 million new energy vehicles and surpassing 4.6 million vehicle sales worldwide.

Driven with the philosophy of “Technology Drives Elegance,” the DENZA Z9GT merges advanced engineering and refined craftsmanship for a new take on luxury electric grand touring.
Crafted with luxury from the inside out, the DENZA Z9GT is built on BYD’s e3 Platform and powered by the BYD Second Generation Blade Battery. It offers a new level of performance, intelligence, and efficiency. As one of the first DENZA models to support BYD Flash Charging Technology, the Z9GT marks a new era of luxury electric driving that combines advanced technology with everyday usability.
At the core of the DENZA Z9GT is the e3 Platform, the most advanced vehicle system from DENZA so far. It features a tri-motor all-wheel drive that provides up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and 1,210 Nm of torque. The Z9GT can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and has a range of up to 701 km (NEDC) on a full charge. This platform makes driving easier with advanced technologies, including rear axle steering up to 15°, a best-in-class 4.62 metre turning radius, e3 Parking, Crab Mode, Pencil Compass Turn, and Vehicle Motion Control (VMC). These features enhance agility, precision, and control in various driving situations.
The latest BYD Second Generation Blade Battery supports this intelligent system. With a capacity of 122.49 kWh and 1,000V high-voltage structure, it is designed for better efficiency, convenience, and safety. It allows charging from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes and from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes. The Z9GT has about 5% more energy density than the previous battery while keeping the safety standards of the Blade Battery family, ensuring a smooth electric driving experience.
In addition to its technology and performance, the DENZA Z9GT has a sleek shape, stylish design features, and a luxury interior made for modern lifestyles. It includes premium materials, comfort features, a Devialet 20-speaker audio system, smart connectivity powered by a high-performance processor with Google built-in, and thoughtful practicality. Together, these elements make the DENZA Z9GT a new standard in intelligent luxury driving.
The DENZA Z9GT comes in two exterior colors: Rime Gold and Obsidian Black. There are also different interior combinations to match each color. The Rime Gold exterior can have a Dark Chocolate & Perg Beige interior or an all-Black interior with suede seats and yellow stitching. The Obsidian Black exterior can be paired with a Dark Chocolate & Red Velvet interior, a Dark Chocolate & Perg Beige interior, or an all-Black interior with suede seats and yellow stitching.
