
Dell Technologies has appointed Saravanan Krishnan as the new country manager for Malaysia, taking over from Mak Chin Wah who has moved to a new role as the country manager for Asia Emerging Markets. With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Saravanan will lead the sales strategy to grow Dell’s business in the country. Grainger Wallis, senior vice president of Dell Technologies, expressed his excitement for Saravanan’s appointment, highlighting his expertise in the IT industry that will support customers and partners in Malaysia.
Saravanan himself is thrilled to lead the Malaysian team, expressing his eagerness to work with the talented staff to help customers and partners leverage AI for their digital transformation journeys. He joined Dell in 2015 and has held various senior leadership positions, most recently as the general manager of Unstructured Data Solutions (UDS) business across Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China.
Prior to Dell, Saravanan held leadership roles in companies like Hitachi Vantara, HPE, Sun StorageTek, and IBM. He is actively involved in organizations like the Singapore Institute of Directors and was the Chairman of the Storage Networking Industry Association for South Asia from 2013 to 2015. Saravanan holds an Executive MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Information Systems from the National University of Singapore.
