iQIYI International has officially announced the appointment of Chen Zheyuan (陈哲远) as its Global Ambassador on 13 June 2025. He will take part in the upcoming “iQIYI Starship” international events to promote premium Chinese content worldwide.
Chen Zheyuan, known for popular dramas like “Hidden Love,” “Handsome Siblings,” “The White Olive Tree,” and “The Darkness and Dawn,” is quite popular internationally, especially in Southeast Asia. His long relationship with iQIYI has made him well-liked for his acting and relatable on-screen personality.
“This collaboration with Chen Zheyuan will effectively boost our brand influence in the global market, allowing more international viewers to discover and appreciate high-quality Chinese content,” said Li Kaichen (KC Li), Vice President and Head of APAC & Middle East at iQIYI.
Chen Zheyuan shared, “I’m honored to be appointed as iQIYI International’s Global Ambassador. Through the ‘iQIYI Starship’ initiative, I hope to bring more outstanding Chinese content to global audiences and look forward to deeper cultural exchange and engagement.”
The “iQIYI Starship” campaign will launch with events in Bangkok and Jakarta:
- 29 June – Bangkok Meet & Greet with Chen Zheyuan in Bangkok, Thailand.
- 30 June – Telkomsel & iQIYI Strategic Partnership & iQIYI Indonesia Launching Event with Chen Zheyuan in Jakarta, Indonesia.
On 30 June 2025, iQIYI will host the “iQIYI Indonesia Launching Event” to enhance local content development and expand membership services. The iQIYI International Membership recruitment campaign started on 16 June 2025.
