
Although 2020 kicked off quite unusual for everyone, Earth Day will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on April 22. To commemorate the 2020 Earth Day, National Geographic is releasing two World Premieres specials, PHOTO ARK: RAREST CREATURES and JANE GOODALL: THE HOPE. The two specials will be focusing to inspire love for our amazing planet and its animal inhabitants.
PHOTO ARK: RAREST CREATURES will be premiering on Wednesday, 22 April, at SIN/HK 8pm (JKT/TH 7pm). The one hour show will focus on National Geographic Photographer Joel Sartore on his quest to photograph some of the rarest animals in the world.
Right after that is the two-hour documentary special JANE GOODALL: THE HOPE which air at SIN/HK 9pm (JKT/TH 8pm). The documentary will go hrough the incredible chapters of Dr. Goodall’s famous journey, highlighting her four decades of advocacy work for animal welfare and conservation, and her message of hope for future generations.
Both shows will premiere on National Geographic channels across Southeast Asia in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Following the Earth Day programming, National Geographic magazine’s April issue is also timed to Earth Day and explores broad issues affecting the planet today.
