The MTG-B4000 is a shock-resistant watch featuring a frame developed through collaboration between human designers and generative AI. For the first time in a Casio consumer timepiece, AI was integrated into the development process to explore innovative design possibilities.
Starting from human design proposals, AI conducted simulations on shock-resistant construction and suggested optimal configurations by analyzing structural strength and material characteristics. These designs were refined by skilled artisans, resulting in a rugged frame with a unique aesthetic made possible through AI collaboration. Additionally, the integration of band connection parts into the frame enhances shock resistance by allowing it to absorb loads directly.
