Bunga has released her latest single, “Sebulan Raya”, for this year’s Hari Raya celebration. Talking about her latest single, this is her first Raya single since venturing into the arts in 2019 and she is certainly excited to share the Raya ‘vibe’ this time.
“To be honest, “Sebulan Raya” really got me excited. Everything happened in a short time and I am happy to have the opportunity to work with many parties in making this Raya song a success.”
“I was most fortunate to be able to collaborate with Edry Abdul Halim who is the composer of this song. This is indeed one of the first very interesting collaborations during my career as an artist,” said Bunga.
Talking more about the collaboration, it all started by chance when he went to the Muzikal Lawak Superstar event last year. During the event, the song Magika, which is from the movie Magika, was played and it really grabbed his attention.
This led to the idea of creating a new version that has a feel similar to many of the soundtracks from the movie Magika, released to the public in 2010.
“Just listening to the song reminded me of the excitement of the film since it was a childhood memory. So I met Edry and asked him to make a new version.”
“We discussed many things when we met. He gave me a few beats to choose from and gave me the freedom to improve the work, including giving ideas for lyrics and so on.”
“This is one of the most valuable experiences for me because I get to work with a composer who has extensive experience,” said the singer, who is popular with the song Intan Payung.
“Sebulan Raya” is a song composed by Edry Abdul Halim and published by Warner Music Malaysia and officially launched on 28 February on all digital platforms.
Bunga filmed her music video (MV) in different places in Sekinchan, Kuala Selangor. She wanted to show the joy of celebrating Raya with her family.
Bunga mentioned that since the song’s production started, she had thought of various ideas for the MV, and she also worked with a skilled production team.
“I gave them a few ideas and they implemented them well. For me, this is an important process to ensure that the results are pleasing to everyone, including the fans.”
“What can I say, this MV is indeed lively and full of surprises. I hope all listeners will be satisfied and happy to welcome the arrival of Syawal this time,” she said, who will be releasing a full album soon.
