Boost strengthens internal talent with new key leadership appointments

Boost is reinforcing its commitment to internal talent development with key leadership appointments. Ungku Norliza Syazwan Ungku Halmie has been named Deputy CEO of Boost Bank, following her successful stint as CEO of Boost Life. She will collaborate with CEO Fozia Amanulla to drive expansion and innovation at Boost Bank.

Gin Wong takes on the role of Head of Consumer Business, succeeding the Boost Life leadership. Previously Head of Product, she played a crucial role in enhancing the eWallet ecosystem and will focus on improving customer engagement and discovering new growth avenues.

Sheyantha Abeykoon, Group CEO of Boost, emphasized that the company is dedicated to fostering an environment where employees can thrive and advance their careers, showcasing leaders like Ungku Liza and Gin as examples of this commitment. These changes highlight Boost’s strategy to cultivate a pipeline of capable leaders as it aims to be a leading regional digital banking group focused on improving financial access and inclusion.
