BMS Holdings Berhad (BMS Holdings) has formed a Joint Venture and Shareholders Agreement with Wee Tatt Traders Sdn. Bhd. (“Wee Tatt”) and its shareholders to expand into the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia.
The new joint venture will operate under Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt) Sdn. Bhd. (“Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt)” or the “JV Company”), which will be 60% owned by BMS Holdings and 40% owned by Wee Tatt’s shareholders. The JV Company will handle the retail, wholesale, and project sales of tiles, stone surfaces, bathware, and kitchenware.
Both partners will invest a total of RM5.0 million into Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt). This includes RM3.0 million in cash from BMS Holdings and RM2.0 million in inventory/stock from Wee Tatt’s shareholders. The cash from BMS Holdings will be provided after the inventory is checked and transferred to the JV Company.
To help with its operations, Wee Tatt will transfer its business assets, contracts, and employees to Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt), subject to necessary approvals. The JV Company will use an existing showroom of Wee Tatt in Penang as its base. This will give the joint venture a solid starting point, workforce, and facilities to support its work.
Wee Tatt has been in the ceramics trading business in Penang for over 36 years. This joint venture allows BMS Holdings to use Wee Tatt’s market presence and resources to improve its distribution network and reach in the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia.

Mr. Ang Kwee Peng, Managing Director of BMS Holdings said, “The northern region of Peninsular Malaysia represents an important growth market for BMS Holdings. This joint venture with Wee Tatt’s shareholders allows us to establish our presence in the region on a strong foundation, supported by an experienced team, established premises and existing customer relationships.”
“By combining Wee Tatt’s local market presence with BMS Holdings’ more than three decades of industry experience and broad product portfolio, we see meaningful opportunities to grow across the retail, wholesale and project segments. We look forward to working closely with our partners to serve customers in the region and to build a positive contributor to the Group’s future earnings,” he added.
BMS Holdings will manage the joint venture (JV) company and will choose most of its board members, including the chairman. Since Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt) is 60% owned by BMS, its financial results will be included in the Group’s overall financial reports.
BMS Holdings will pay for its investment using money it has generated or through bank loans. The joint venture is expected to help increase the Group’s earnings in the future.
This joint venture allows BMS Holdings to expand beyond its current locations in Johor, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, and Sarawak. It follows the opening of the Company’s first Senova Bath & Kitchen Gallery in Johor Bahru in September 2026, as the Group works to expand its locations and product offerings.
