Bell & Ross has recently the new BR-03 Green Radar Ceramic, the fourth model in the Radar collection line-up. For the first time, the Radar display occupies the 41 mm BR-03 case, tightening the dial’s scale to create an immersive display that captures the luminous sweep of an authentic airborne radar. This striking new creation, with its green colorway, reinterprets an emblematic concept of the Maison, appealing to collectors, design enthusiasts, and aviation aficionados seeking something distinctive.
With the BR-03 Green Radar Ceramic, the collection evolves. Unlike previous editions that showcased either radar beams or aircraft silhouettes, this version combines both for the first time: the aircraft and their glowing trails appear together on the dial, mimicking a real air surveillance display. Following the red of control rooms, the green of modern radar screens adds to the collection’s color palette. This development is intentional. Since 2005 and the launch of the BR-01, Bell & Ross has carefully expanded its Flight Instruments collection, which includes several unique timepieces that capture an aircraft navigation instrument’s design in watchmaking. The Radar collection is one of the most daring branches, and the Green Radar Ceramic marks a new chapter in its history.

With the new Green Radar, the Maison showcases three iconic aircraft on the dial. The Falcon*, a luxury business jet, shows the hours, the Rafale*, a multirole fighter, shows the minutes, and the Neuron*, a stealth drone, shows the seconds. Each aircraft moves on its own disc, creating a unique display that replaces traditional hands. This trio highlights three generations of French military and business aviation. By featuring them together on one dial, Bell & Ross emphasizes its focus on aviation and precision watchmaking, reflecting its ties with top names in French aviation. The choice of a business jet, fighter aircraft, and stealth drone celebrates the diverse expertise of Dassault Aviation, from business to advanced combat systems.

The time is displayed through three overlapping discs, each moved by a small aircraft. The Falcon completes a revolution in twelve hours, the Rafale in sixty minutes, and the Neuron in sixty seconds. The aircraft shapes act as visual guides, while a glowing trail mimics radar displays, making it feel like a real monitoring instrument instead of a standard watch. The hour markers and graduations are in green beneath a tinted sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. This system combines moving discs and fixed graduations, showcasing a strong sense of depth and linking the Green Radar to its control screen inspirations. The display has two levels: three moving discs below and fixed graduations above. The viewer’s focus shifts like an air traffic controller scanning for incoming aircraft. This complex display posed technical challenges; the discs must be lightweight to maintain the power reserve and rigid enough to avoid deformation or friction. Each part is precisely adjusted to ensure the three display levels remain parallel.

The 41 mm BR-03 case is made from smooth, scratch-resistant black ceramic. The back features engravings of the three aircraft seen on the dial. Inside is the BR-CAL.327 calibre, a self-winding movement with a 54-hour power reserve. The watch is water-resistant to 100 metres and has a black rubber bracelet with a pin buckle. This precision reflects the aim of the Radar collection’s first discs in 2010: to achieve mechanical reliability with a stunning visual appeal. With the BR-03 Green Radar ceramic, Bell & Ross shows that great innovation comes from combining watchmaking accuracy with a love for aviation.

The BR-03 Green Radar Ceramic in Malaysia is priced at RM21,600 and only limited to 999 units globally. It is also confirmed the watch will comes in two straps: Black rubber strap and black synthetic canvas strap.
