Bata EXCO Team drops by Bata Malaysia to shared vision and achievement

The Bata Exco Team has recently visited Bata Malaysia as they shared invaluable thoughts on Bata’s vision and ideas to leverage the synergies through regional and global projects in terms of product, brand, and communication strategies with the local counterpart.

The visit was attended by Mr. Rajeev Gopalakrishnan (APAC President), Ms. Isabelle Sakai (Chief Marketing Officer), Mr. Arun Chandra Mohan (Chief Digital Officer), Mr. Shaibal Sinha (Regional Finance Director), Mr. Inderpreet Singh (APAC E-Commerce Director) and Mr. Geoffroy Berthon (Group Customer Experience Director). The visit saw both side exchanging ideas, interacting, and enhancing the business strategies in line with Global 2025 Stepping Forward. They were also presented with an upcoming shoe line and visited several Bata stores.

“It has been a challenging 2 years, but Bata Malaysia explored all the available business opportunities and pivoted fast.  They managed to reach the customers with the best service and products despite the numerous Covid restrictions. The new normal Malaysia is now wearing more sneakers and casual shoes and our new collections are fully concentrated on that with unbeatable comfort.” says Mr. Rajeev, Bata’s APAC President.Aside from that, Bata Malaysia was recognized and awarded in the Footwear Retail Category at the Malaysia International Awards; a brand award that recognizes brands that made significant strides with their revolutionary business practices and contributions to the Malaysian economy. This award recognized the contributions and initiatives for Bata’s new e-commerce platform (FA2A), which offers an enhanced digital shopping experience for better customer engagement and increased value for both modern and traditional channels.
