ASUS Republic of Gamers Malaysia has announced the arrival of the 2025 ROG laptop lineup in local market. The latest lineup is powered by the latest processors from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA, incredible new chassis and cooling designs for the ROG Strix series, and an incredibly powerful new Flow Z13. Strix reigns supreme
The 2025 ROG Strix lineup showcases new designs for the Intel-based Strix SCAR 16, Strix SCAR 18, Strix G16, and Strix G18. They feature bright RGB lights all around and the first tool-free bottom panel in a gaming laptop. With a simple button press, users can open their laptop to clean fans or upgrade RAM and storage without needing cables or screws. All 2025 Strix laptops also have a special display film that reduces reflections by 55% and increases contrast by 4.5 times, allowing gamers to see colors more vividly and spot enemies easily.
The 2025 models live up on deliver top performance, offering up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, which enhances gaming and creative tasks on demanding games and applications. They include advanced features like the latest NVIDIA DLSS 4 technology, allowing users to experience cutting-edge graphics like ray tracing with great performance. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU is perfect for high-end gaming or AI tasks. Today, over 700 AI-optimized games and apps use NVIDIA GPUs and RTX Tensor Cores to speed up AI activities, including popular generative AI applications for language models, visual content creation, and more.
The 2025 Strix family features the latest Intel processors. The powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 275HX is available in the top Strix SCAR models and the Strix G16 and G18. With up to 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 4TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage on the Strix SCAR 16 and 18, and 32GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage on the Strix G16 and G18, they’re perfect for gamers and content creators seeking high performance.
This year, ROG introduced a new heatsink design for its Intel Strix laptops. This design places heatsink fins on both the top and bottom of the vapor chamber, improving cooling efficiency while saving space. It also includes a rear exhaust vent, liquid metal on the CPU and GPU, and ample intake areas on the sides, bottom, and keyboard. This cooling system allows the laptops to use up to 240W of power with less noise than earlier models. Dust filters help keep the system clean for longer life.
Flow Z13 redefines portable power
Since it launched in 2022, the ROG Flow Z13 has set the standard for power and portability in gaming tablets. For 2025, ROG has upgraded this category with a new and powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. This desktop-class CPU includes strong RDNA 3.5 graphics, providing gaming performance similar to Radeon 8060S graphics, along with great power efficiency. It also has special NPU cores, making the Flow Z13 a capable AI PC with 50 TOPS of total compute power, enhancing the Copilot+ experience.
To manage all this power in a compact design, the Flow Z13 uses high-quality power delivery parts, like 14 power phases and Japanese capacitors. Its processor employs a unified quad-channel memory design, allowing 32GB of fast LPDDR5X-8000 RAM to be shared automatically between the CPU and GPU cores.
The 2025 Flow Z13 comes with an improved vapor chamber made of stainless steel and copper, covering 54% more of the mainboard than previous models. This design keeps it low-profile, sturdy, and cool. The Flow Z13 also features a new airflow design with 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans, directing some air to a special channel behind the touchscreen to keep it cooler during use.
The stunning 2.5K 180Hz ROG Nebula Display is a highlight of the Flow Z13, offering full DCI-P3 color space coverage and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The device also includes a strong range of ports, such as a 200W charging port, a dedicated HDMI port, dual USB-A ports, and dual USB-C ports, all supporting USB4.
Zephyrus upgrades power and cooling
ROG Zephyrus introduces new ultra-portable designs with the Zephyrus G16, now featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285H and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. These laptops are compact and designed for gaming. The GPU offers professional-level hardware to handle demanding tasks like AI, video editing, 3D graphics, and livestreaming, supported by GeForce RTX technology. It also includes NVIDIA Studio optimizations for over 150 applications and can run advanced AI models. Plus, it’s already set up for NIM capabilities.
Thanks to improvements in the cooling system, these laptops maximize power and performance in a slim design.
