ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially launch its latest ROG Phone 6 series of gaming smartphones, along with new models of ROG Cetra series and ROG Delta series, plus a collection of ROG Phone 6 accessories. The event concluded with the local pricing and availability announcement, as well as the promotion details in Malaysia.
What makes the ROG Phone 6 series so highly sought after by mobile gamers it is because of the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform and paired along with up to 18 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. Keeping the thermals cool are the newly upgraded GameCool 6 cooling system features novel 360° CPU cooling technology to unleash maximum sustained performance.
To maintain a long battery life, ASUS ROG elected to use a massive 6000 mAh battery. Not only, visuals will be highly immersive thanks to a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED HDR10+ display with exclusive ROG tuning technology for an amazing 165 Hz refresh rate, an industry-leading 720 Hz touch-sampling rate and a world-beating 23 ms ultra-low touch latency. The new series is accompanied by a full array of exclusive ROG Phone 6 accessories, including the new AeroActive Cooler 6 and ROG Phone 6 Glass Screen Protector.
Official accessories by ASUS ROG for the ROG Phone 6 include the AeroActive Cooler 6, ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad for ROG Phone 6, ROG Phone 6 Glass Screen Protector, cases and more. The clip-on AeroActive Cooler 6 has an AI-powered thermoelectric cooler, and a fan that delivers increased cooling airflow directly to hotspots on the back cover of the ROG Phone 6. The result is that it can lower the surface temperature by up to a stunning 25°C. The AeroActive Cooler 6 also adds four extra physical buttons to allow a genuine console-like control experience.
For a fully immersive ROG Phone 6 gaming experience, several gaming headphones were also showcased, including the new ROG Cetra True Wireless Pro dual-mode wired / wireless model featuring an ESS Quad DAC and an AI Noise-Canceling Microphone, and the ROG Cetra True Wireless for low-latency gaming audio. For detailed and true-to-life headset audio, the ROG Delta S Wireless — the first ROG dual-mode wireless gaming headset — and the lightweight 270-gram ROG Delta S Core gaming headsets on display.
ASUS Malaysia has confirmed that ROG Phone 6 will be available for local market in two variants, in both Storm White and Phantom Black color options. The ROG Phone 6 (12GB+256GB) is priced at RM3,599, while the 16GB + 512GB variant will be available for RM4,399. Both variants will be available in Malaysia starting from August 2022. Meanwhile the ROG Phone 6 Pro with 18GB RAM and 512GB storage will be priced at RM4,999. Availability is set for September 2022 for the ROG Phone 6 Pro.
Pre-orders for the ROG Phone 6 will commence on 6th July 2022 on Shopee and offline channels, with RM548 worth of early bird freebies, comprising of a 1-year warranty extension (worth RM199) and an AeroActive Cooler 6 (worth RM349). On top of that, pre-orders of the ROG Phone 6 on Shopee will also be entitled to 10% off on the ROG Slash Hip Bag and ROG Slash Crossbody Bag, which are priced at RM499 and RM399, respectively.
