Royal Enfield returns to Art of Speed 2026 by introducing two custom motorcycles—OBSIDIAN and Carolina Reaper—alongside a skateboarding activation at the Royal Enfield booth in Hall A, MAEPS Serdang.

Royal Enfield is celebrating 125 years of Pure Motorcycling at the Art of Speed event, highlighting its commitment to customization, craftsmanship, and self-expression. The showcase features custom motorcycles by renowned builders and skateboarding demonstrations linked to street culture, fostering a creative community. In Malaysia, the custom motorcycle scene thrives with innovative builders creating unique identities for their bikes, and Royal Enfield offers accessible platforms for exploring new designs and riding experiences.

Rewi Hamid Bugo, Chairman of Didi Group, added, “As Royal Enfield celebrates 125 years of Pure Motorcycling, we are proud to bring its legacy of craftsmanship and self-expression to life at Art of Speed. OBSIDIAN celebrates the exceptional talent of Pa’din Musa and Malaysia’s custom motorcycle community. This collaboration demonstrates how a Royal Enfield can become a truly personal expression while remaining a motorcycle built to be ridden and enjoyed.”
Adrian Sellers, Head of Custom & Motorsport at Royal Enfield, said, “Malaysia has an intensely creative custom ecosystem, and Art of Speed remains an important platform for builders and enthusiasts to exchange ideas and showcase what is possible. OBSIDIAN and Carolina Reaper represent two very different interpretations of Royal Enfield motorcycles—one created for long-distance chopper riding and the other for flat track racing. Both demonstrate how customisation can transform a motorcycle while preserving the joy of riding.”
OBSIDIAN: BUILT TO BE RIDDEN

Unveiled for the first time at Art of Speed 2026, OBSIDIAN is a custom chopper created by Pa’din Musa of Abah & Sons Vintage Choppers, part of Royal Enfield’s Custom World program. It uses the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 engine, blending a classic vintage look with modern reliability.
Designed for high-quality craftsmanship and long-distance riding, OBSIDIAN focuses on being simple, narrow, reliable, and easy to maintain. Most parts were made from scratch by Pa’din Musa and his team.
The motorcycle has a custom narrow front end, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, a twin-carburettor setup, an internal throttle, a foot clutch, and a hand-operated jockey shifter. Its strong custom sissy bar can hold a duffle bag, while the built-in taillight and hidden wiring keep the design clean. OBSIDIAN is not just for display—it’s a practical custom motorcycle built for traveling and enjoying the open road.

MOTORCYCLES MEET SKATE CULTURE
Adding to the action, the Royal Enfield booth will feature live skateboarding demonstrations on a dedicated skate ramp. The activation brings together motorcycling and skateboarding—two cultures connected by creativity, freedom, personal style and the drive to do things differently.
Visitors are invited to watch local skaters showcase their skills while experiencing Royal Enfield’s custom motorcycles, apparel and lifestyle offerings. Selected Royal Enfield motorcycles will also be available for test rides throughout the event, giving riders an opportunity to experience Pure Motorcycling first-hand.
In conjunction with Art of Speed 2026, Royal Enfield Malaysia is introducing an exclusive ownership package for all motorcycles purchased from 1 August to 30 September 2026. The package includes five years of warranty, two years of free service, three years of Roadside Assistance and complimentary first-year road tax—providing riders with greater confidence and peace of mind throughout their ownership journey.
