ARLINA AYOU, a Malaysian fashion house, has recently launched its boutique at Level LG1, The Curve, with an afternoon showcase graced by Yang Amat Mulia Hajah Sharifah Khatreena Nuraniah binti Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail as Royal Guest of Honour.
Organised by Bravo Events and Entertainment, the event gathered guests from fashion, media, and government, along with brand partners Urban Retreats, Sony, and The Curve, as well as loyal clients. Highlights included a fashion show featuring ARLINA AYOU designs and a performance by Tiga Soul.

The showcase featured the brand’s use of hand-drawn batik canting, hand-block batik cap, songket, tenun, embroidery, and beadwork, showcasing ARLINA AYOU’s effort to blend traditional textile crafts with modern fashion while maintaining the skill and meaning of each piece.
“Batik has always been more than fabric to me. It holds the hands, care and stories of the people who make it. Every design starts with me, but it comes to life through the artisans I work with. This boutique is a way to honour their craft and show that it is not a relic of the past, but a living tradition that continues to grow and be worn with pride today,” said Arlina Amdan, founder and creative director of ARLINA AYOU.

More than a retail space, the boutique is a welcoming setting for clients to explore ARLINA AYOU’s collections and experience personalised service. It features Premium Ready-to-Wear, Atelier, Couture, and Bridal collections, along with styling consultations and bespoke design services.
Founded by Arlina Amdan, ARLINA AYOU’s fashion is rooted in Malaysian textile heritage. Each collection begins with Arlina’s sketches, developed with skilled artisans across Malaysia. Some couture and bridal pieces take over 500 hours to complete, showcasing the dedication put into each garment.

Arlina sees batik as stylish fashion instead of just clothing for special occasions. She combines traditional textile knowledge with modern designs suitable for weddings, formal events, celebrations, and everyday use.
Her collections have gone beyond Malaysia, showcasing the country in international fashion events in places like Abu Dhabi, London, the Netherlands, and Jakarta. ARLINA AYOU has displayed its Modern Heritage collection, featuring Malaysian songket and batik in contemporary styles. Through her work, Arlina shares Malaysia’s rich textile heritage with the world, blending tradition, craft, and modern fashion.
This link between heritage and modern design fits with the goals of Visit Malaysia 2026, which promotes Malaysia’s diverse culture, creativity, and living traditions to both local and international audiences. Arlina is also part of the Malaysian Official Designers Association (MODA), helping to create more chances for Malaysian designers and strengthen the local design community.
The boutique launch reflects ARLINA AYOU’s purpose of creating timeless fashion through unique design and craftsmanship, while preserving Malaysian textile heritage and promoting cultural sustainability.
