Alter Ego and Myth Avenue Gaming claims Predator Shield 6th edition at APAC Predator League 2025

Asia Pacific Predator League 2025 concluded with Team Alter Ego (VALORANT) and Myth Avenue Gaming (Dota 2) emerged as the champions. Both teams received the coveted Predator Shield in the sixth edition of the event, and each walked away with a substantial USD 65,000 in prize money.

Acer also announced that the next edition of the Predator League will be hosted by the Acer India office. Acer India office’s President and Managing Director, Harish Kohli, officially received the Predator League pennant from Acer Malaysia office’s Managing Director, Kon Tek Yoong, in a ceremonial handover.

Team ZOL Esports, the runner-up for VALORANT, made a strong comeback with six straight wins, bringing the score to 11:11 from 5:11 after an important mid-game reset. However, Alter Ego regrouped and showed strong teamwork to stop the other team’s momentum and win the match.

The home crowd cheered loudly as Myth Avenue Gaming beat Team Helios 2-0 in the Dota 2 Grand Finals to win the Predator Shield in front of their fans.

In addition to the Predator Shield, there were ten special awards worth USD20,000 in the Intel Allstar Vote for VALORANT and Dota 2. The public voted for their favorite players based on their roles.

Two Intel MVPs were also crowned based on their performances in the tournament. They each received USD10,000 as part of this special recognition.

The two-day APAC Predator League 2025 Grand Finals was a big celebration of esports and entertainment, creating a fun festival atmosphere that was more than just a regular tournament. The event brought together gamers and non-gamers through various activities, including competitive gaming and engaging experiences that focused on energy, teamwork, and community.

Acer added new features this year, introducing two exclusive champion avatars, Nero and Yuffy, along with an animated video and a Predator theme song called “It Lies Within,” sung in local languages. The community enjoyed performances from Sandara Park and Minzy of K-pop group 2NE1, as well as Malaysian stars Aina Abdul and Hael Husaini, and G22 from the Philippines. Another exciting part was the Coswalk Competition, which highlighted Malaysia’s best cosplay talent. Standout costumes included Valkia the Bloody from Warhammer: Age of Sigmar by Vinca Kazuki, Thanatos from Persona 3 by Mak, and S.I.C. Amazon Alpha by Saiful SS Prop, all winning top prizes from a RM 25,000 prize pool.
