Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (Allianz General) has launched the Allianz Electric Vehicle (EV) EcoMiles benefit programme, rewarding low-mileage Battery Electric Vehicle drivers with cash benefits.
Policyholders with a Battery Electric Vehicle insured under an Allianz Private Car Comprehensive policy can receive cash rewards of up to 15% of their premiums by activating the EcoMiles benefit through the MyAllianz app at no extra cost, converting eco-friendly driving into real cash rewards.
“With Allianz EV EcoMiles, we are supporting our customers’ green initiatives and rewarding them for their sustainable choices,” said Allianz General Chief Executive Officer, Sean Wang. “Driving a BEV is already one step towards reducing carbon emissions. Now, whether you’re a remote worker or a weekend-only driver, Allianz EV EcoMiles rewards you even further.”
“This initiative reflects our commitment to recognising and supporting our customers’ lifestyles while encouraging environmentally friendly practices. By offering tangible rewards for low mileage and BEV usage, we aim to empower our customers to make sustainable choices that benefit them as well as the environment,” Sean added.
The reward tiers under Allianz EV EcoMiles are as follows:
- Tier 1: Customers with an annual average mileage of up to 10,000 kilometres will receive a cash reward of 15% of their net basic premium (basic premium after deduction of the No Claim Discount (NCD)).
- Tier 2: Customers with an annual average mileage between 10,001 and 15,000 kilometres will receive a cash reward of 10% of their net basic premium (basic premium after deduction of the NCD).
To get the cash reward, policyholders need to activate Allianz EV EcoMiles in the MyAllianz app within 30 days of starting their policy. After that, they must submit their odometer reading and vehicle photos in the app within 14 days before or after the policy ends. Once the submission is approved, the cash reward will be added to their account.
For a short time, Allianz General is also giving RM100 in EV charging credits to customers who insure their BEVs under an Allianz Private Car Comprehensive policy between 29 September and 31 October 2025. To qualify, they must activate the Allianz EV EcoMiles benefit within 30 days of their policy start date and provide a valid email and phone number during the purchase.
They will receive a code for the charging credit via email, which can be redeemed through the ChargEV app by Yinson Greentech.
