ABBA returns after 40 years with new concert, ABBA Voyage, and studio album, Voyage

If you still remember ABBA, then there’s a great news for fans of the Swedish music group. ABBA has recently announced that they are back for the first time in 40 years with a new concert, ABBA Voyage, and a studio album, Voyage.

Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid has confirmed they will be performing digitally with a live 10-piece band, in a purpose-built arena in London from 27th May 2022 for ABBA Voyage. This was made possible with digital versions of ABBA created following weeks and months of motion-capture and performance techniques with the four band members and an 850-strong team from Industrial Light & Magic, the company founded by George Lucas, in what is the company’s first foray into music.

ABBA also dropped two new songs, ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ and ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’, on 3rd September but they also recorded and produced an entire new album. It is noted that the group recorded together at Benny’s studio Riksmixningsverket in Stockholm as Voyage will be released worldwide on 5th November on Universal Music Group. The group also released a music video for ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ which is directed by Shynola.
