33R Harmony Racing leads from start to finish for overall champion at 2025 Motul 12 Hours of Sepang

2025 Motul 12 Hours of Sepang concluded on Saturday, 15 March 2025 with the #33 33R Harmony Racing’s Ferrari 296 GT3 leading from start to finish, driven by Jason Loh, Luo Kailuo, Chen Weian, and local star Jazeman Jaafar, dominated the race and won overall, as well as the GT3 class.

The #61 EBM Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Adrian D’Silva, Loek Hartog, and Dorian Boccolacci, made a strong effort to finish second, even after a slow puncture earlier affected their pit strategy. They finished ahead of the 2024 race winners, the #87 Origine Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Yuan Bo, Leo Ye Hongli, and Adderly Fong.

The #26 Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II, driven by Henk Kiks, Akash Nandy, and Sandy Stuvihk, showed great performance in the middle of the race, with Stuvihk fighting for the lead and maintaining control until the end of his time on track. They ended the day fourth overall and in their class.

Another clear victory was claimed by the #610 610 Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Chen Fangping, Lu Wenlong, Li Xuanyu, and Hu Bo, who were the top in GT3 AM and finished fifth overall.

Local team Viper Niza Racing put the #65 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, driven by Douglas Khoo, Dominic Ang, and Melvin Moh, at the top of the GT3 AM Masters class and finished sixth overall.

Wu Yifan, Lai Jingwen, Liu Zichen, and Xu Zheyu took seventh overall and second in GT3 AM in the #11 326 Racing Team Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II. The #777 Climax Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II, driven by Li Dongsheng, Li Donghui, Lu Wei, Ling Kang, and Zhou Liyuan, completed the GT3 AM podium in third.

The #601 Champion Motor Sport Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO, driven by Tse Ka Hing, Tang Phillip, Tang Tien Foo, and Chan Chi Chung, finished second in GT3 AM Masters behind the #777 Climax Racing CHN Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II and ninth overall. The top ten was rounded out by the #5 HZ) FORTIS Racing/Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II, driven by Haziq Zairel Oh, Hairie Zairel Oh, and Aaron Lim Say Joon.

In GTC, the #911 610 Racing team, with Wong Yat Shing Sunny, Yan Chuang, Peter Li Zhicong, and Leona Chin Lyweoi, took the checkered flag.

The race featured teams from the Asia Pacific, including local and international drivers, and was full of battles for lead and class positions throughout the twelve hours, running without any safety car or flag interruptions, marking a successful third year since its return in 2023.

Top Speed will be back the Shanghai International Circuit in October for the third Shanghai 8 Hours.
