BMW Malaysia has officially debut the 2026 BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro for the local market, the first vehicle of the Neue Klasse portfolio to arrive in Malaysia and the most significant new BMW model in a generation.

The 2026 BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro showcases the advanced technology of the Neue Klasse, featuring 6th-generation BMW eDrive with an 800-volt system. It delivers drive power and dynamics with response times up to ten times faster than traditional systems, along with the BMW Panoramic Vision displaying important info across the entire windscreen. This model has been awarded World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle of the Year 2026 by 98 international motoring journalists and is recognized globally as the best of its generation.
The latest iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro features cutting-edge 6th-generation BMW eDrive technology within an 800-volt architecture, redefining electric performance. It boasts a high-voltage battery with 108.7 kWh usable energy in a compact design, integrated into the vehicle body for a low center of gravity that enhances driving dynamics. With two electric motors producing 345 kW (469 hp) and 645 Nm torque, power is directed through a rear-biased all-wheel drive system.
Central to this experience is the Heart of Joy control unit, which ensures near-instantaneous response times, allowing for effortless maneuverability. Acceleration and deceleration achieve new precision, with recuperation handling 98% of braking, resulting in smooth stops even in traffic. The shift between acceleration and coasting is seamless, with minimized brake noise enhancing overall ride comfort.
You also don’t need to have any range anxiety as the car now has a WLTP range of up to 805 km. The 800-volt architecture allows DC charging at up to 400 kW, adding up to 372 kilometres of range in just ten minutes. It is compatible with 400-volt charging infrastructure, enabling the considerable 108.7 kWh battery to be replenished anytime. The 2026 BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro boasts a WLTP energy consumption of 17.9–15.1 kWh/100 km and a drag coefficient of 0.24, making it the most efficient battery-electric BMW Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) to date.
The charging experience is enhanced; with route guidance on, it readies the battery for quick charging upon arrival. As you get near a charging station, the automatic charging flap opens and closes when the cable is removed. This feature uses AI to identify familiar charging spots and needs a BMW Digital Key Plus to work.
The BMW Panoramic iDrive offers an intuitive user experience, focusing on delivering the right information at the right time. At its core is the BMW Panoramic Vision, a 43.3-inch display across the windscreen that shows key driving data and customizable widgets for navigation and media, all clearly visible even with polarised glasses.
The new BMW 3D Head-Up Display enhances safety by projecting 3D navigation data directly in the driver’s field of vision, ensuring that critical information is easily absorbed. Anchoring this system is a 17.9-inch Central Display designed for touch operation, featuring customizable widgets and easy accessibility for front and rear passengers.
Enhancing this experience is the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, which learns driver preferences and suggests features. The multifunction M steering wheel provides unobstructed access to the BMW Panoramic Vision, with responsive controls for assistance and infotainment, ensuring a safe driving experience.
What the 6th-generation BMW eDrive signifies in engineering, the exterior of the BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro embodies in design — a new aesthetic language defining BMW’s future. Its smooth surfaces and precise lines create a monolithic look that commands attention.
The front features a vertical kidney grille with BMW Iconic Glow, replacing chrome with light for a sophisticated touch. The M Sport package’s painted bumpers and side sills enhance its sporty character. Flush-mounted door handles with contour lighting and elegant window graphics bring a seamless design while emphasizing lightness. A muscular shoulder area adds to its powerful appearance, complemented by an intelligent, automatic charging flap.
At the rear, large lights frame the BMW badge, and strong horizontal lines create a purposeful stance. The iX3 rides on staggered 22-inch Y-Spoke Style 1054 M bicolour wheels, paired with striking red M Sport brakes.
Step back from the cockpit, and the interior of the 2026 BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro reveals a harmonious space of coordinated colours, ambient lighting, and premium materials. The textile-finished instrument panel with atmospheric backlighting creates a welcoming environment, seamlessly extending to the door panels. Integrated electrically adjustable air vents and ambient lighting enhance the atmosphere, while the Black Interior Design BMW M exudes a performance-oriented tone.
M Sport seats for the driver and front passenger feature pronounced shoulder support, a seven-programme massage function, and standard electric adjustment with memory. Included are seat heating, steering wheel heating, M seat belts, Comfort Access, and a wireless charging tray, all complemented by a 430-watt, 13-speaker Harman Kardon HiFi system.
Rear passengers enjoy generous headroom and footwells, adjustable seat backs, and a centre armrest with cup holders. Two USB-C ports and a touch display for three-zone climate control ensure comfort. A panoramic sunroof with climate comfort glazing brightens the cabin while blocking UV rays.
The BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro offers a luggage capacity of 520 litres, expandable to 1,750 litres with a 40/20/40 split rear seat. The luggage compartment cover can be stored under the cargo floor, and there’s also a 58-litre storage compartment under the bonnet made from 30% recycled maritime material.
The car now comes with a full set of cameras, radars, and sensors that help with driving and parking. Its smart software works with the driver to control acceleration, braking, and steering, enhancing the driving experience and providing more confidence and control.
This model includes Driving Assistant Plus, which helps with steering and braking, maintains speed and distance from the car in front, and keeps the vehicle in its lane. It automatically adjusts to speed limits and slows down at turns and intersections. This feature builds on the standard Driving Assistant, which offers Lane Keeping Assistant, Lane Departure Warning, Side Collision Warning, Emergency Stop Assistant, Cruise Control, Lane Change Warning, and Speed Limit Info.
For parking, the Parking Assistant Professional gives a 360-degree view around the vehicle. Using a compatible smartphone, the driver can park the car from up to six meters away, moving it forward or backward while staying close by. This expands the standard Parking Assistant features, which include Active Park Distance Control, Drive-off Monitoring, Parking Assistant, Crossing Traffic Warning, Reversing Assistant, and Exit Warning.
The BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro also includes great digital connectivity. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are built-in, with navigation instructions shown on the BMW Panoramic Vision and BMW 3D Head-Up Display. BMW Digital Premium allows access to audio and video streaming, gaming, and navigation services. If a collision happens while parked, the parking collision recorder alerts the driver’s smartphone through the My BMW App.
BMW Digital Key Plus acts as the main vehicle key, using technology that identifies the driver without needing to take the key out of their pocket. When the driver approaches, lights and door handles respond automatically, and the interior is tailored for their comfort. Each vehicle comes with a Setup Card for easy first-time setup, a backup physical key, and a Service Card. Intelligent Emergency Call and Teleservices maintain constant connectivity and assistance.
The New BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro is available in six exterior colors, all featuring the BMW M Interior Design in Black. The color options include Alpine White, Black Sapphire, M Brooklyn Grey, and Space Silver, with two new metallic finishes — Ocean Wave Blue and Polarised Grey.
