Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS) has launched the 2025 Kawasaki KLX 230S and KLX 230SM. The two dual-sport motorcycles mark a significant expansion in MODENAS’ Kawasaki line-up, designed to bring freedom, versatility and adventure to Malaysian riders.
The KLX 230S is powered by a 233cc air-cooled, four-stroke single-cylinder engine and a six-speed transmission for smooth performance. Its lightweight design, long suspension travel, and full-size wheels (21-inch front and 18-inch rear) provide stability and control on various terrains in Malaysia, from city to forest. At just 133 kilograms and with a 7.5-liter fuel tank, it offers agility and durability for daily rides and weekend trips.
The KLX 230SM enters the market as a supermoto variant for urban riders seeking agility and precision. Built on the same platform, it features 17-inch wheels, road-focused tyres, and sport-tuned suspension for sharp handling and a commanding presence. Designed for nimble manoeuvres, the KLX 230SM adds excitement to Kawasaki’s Malaysian line-up.
Both the Kawasaki KLX 230S and KLX 230SM will be available at dealerships nationwide starting early October. The KLX 230S costs RM 23,000, and the KLX 230SM costs RM 23,600. Prices exclude insurance, road tax, and registration. Customers can experience the new KLX 230 range at Kawasaki showrooms.
