If you want to ride like the reigning WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlıoğlu in Malaysia, the 2025 BMW M 1000 RR Competition is now available for the local market. The superbike is created for riders requiring the highest levels of performance, precision, and control. The 2025 BMW M 1000 RR Competition comes with enhanced aerodynamics, increased power, and cutting-edge technology.

The BMW M 1000 RR Competition is ready for both the street and the track. It features a new front fairing and windscreen that improve aerodynamics and enhance its racing look. The updated carbon fibre M Winglets 3.0 create up to 30 kg of downforce at 300 km/h, improving cornering stability and minimizing front wheel lift, while still maintaining a top speed of 314 km/h. To focus more on racing, the M Aero Wheel Covers have been removed, and key parts like the fairing, front wheel cover, and engine spoiler are now made from lightweight yet durable high-strength plastic.

In terms of performance, it is powered by a 999cc inline four-cylinder engine that delivers 160 kW (218 hp) at 14,500 rpm – an increase of (4kW) 6 hp from its predecessor, while paired with 113 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm. The bike is claimed of delivering sprint from stand still to century in just 3.1 seconds.
The engine architecture of the BMW M 1000 RR Competition has been refined for greater high-revving performance. Key improvements include a reworked cylinder head with optimised ports and a reshaped combustion chamber for better airflow. Lightweight titanium valves with revised geometry and updated seat designs enhance power delivery. A larger 52 mm throttle valve and a newly contoured airbox boost responsiveness, while a revised full-titanium exhaust system reduces back pressure and weight. These upgrades help maintain a peak engine speed of 14,500 rpm with sharper throttle response and enhanced torque, all while meeting Euro 5+ emissions standards.
The updated Flex Frame has better chassis dynamics, with more stiffness in the steering head and a moved left-side engine mount. It also features an M short-stroke throttle with a 58-degree rotation angle, down from 72 degrees, allowing for faster and more precise throttle control, especially useful in racing.
There is also a comprehensive suite of riding modes, with Riding Modes Pro now equipped as standard. This includes the base modes – Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race – each with its own Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) profile for optimal grip and stability across varying conditions. Additionally, three highly customisable Race Pro modes including – Race Pro 1, Race Pro 2, and Race Pro 3 – allow riders to fine-tune key parameters such as throttle response, engine braking, traction control, and wheelie control to suit personal preferences or track conditions. Within these Race Pro settings, the DTC Wheelie Function is also adjustable, enabling precise regulation of front wheel lift for maximum acceleration during hard launches or aggressive corner exits.
Track-focused riders will benefit from Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) with Slide Control, enabled by steering angle sensor technology. This system allows precise regulation of rear-wheel slip during acceleration drifts, helping riders manage power slides confidently. The BMW Race ABS Pro now includes Brake Slide Assist, which modulates brake pressure and engine drag torque for controlled rear-wheel drifts under braking using steering angle input. The ABS Pro “Slick” mode ensures the bike is fully compatible with slick tyres for race use.
Only one variant will be offer for the 2025 BMW M 1000 RR Competition and you also can get it in the extensively equipped M Competition model. Comes in Blackstorm metallic with iconic M accents, the 2025 BMW M 1000 RR Competition closely embodies the track-inspired DNA of the bike through its exclusive M Competition Package.
This package includes the M Carbon Package, equipping the bike with high-grade carbon components in matte finish such as wheel covers, a pinion cover with chain guard, tank cover, airbox cover, and a carbon passenger seat cover. The M Billet Pack adds CNC-milled aluminium parts like brake and clutch levers, new rider footrests, and a brake lever guard, marrying form and function. Premium features of the M Competition variant include the M Endurance Chain for reduced maintenance, M Carbon Wheels for agility and weight savings, and the M GPS-Laptrigger with activation code for precise timing. Completing the package are an anodised rear wheel swingarm, tinted windscreen and black fuel tank, emphasizing the bike’s racing ambition.
