BMW Motorrad Malaysia has launched the 2025 BMW M 1000 R Competition, designed for superbike-level performance with everyday agility. It embodies motorsport-bred DNA in a raw form, combining power, precision, and presence unmatched in the Hyper Naked segment.

Born from racing and designed for street performance, the 2025 BMW M 1000 R Competition combines powerful performance with a sporty look. It has a bold dual LED headlight and an M logo on the air intake for better visibility and a strong front presence. The rear frame and swingarm are now in a stylish Platinum Grey metallic finish, and black parts like the winglets and covers add to its aggressive, motorsport-inspired design. With superbike power, excellent handling, and a striking naked style, this bike offers top performance and presence on the streets of Malaysia.
At its heart, the M 1000 R Competition has the same 999cc four-cylinder engine as its RR sibling, producing 154 kW (210 hp) at 13,750 rpm and 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and can reach over 250 km/h, all while meeting Euro 5+ emissions standards, making it one of the most powerful Hyper Naked motorcycles available.
Rider control is advanced with the M short-stroke throttle, which offers quick response for navigating corners or accelerating quickly. The Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) has been fine-tuned for RR-level performance, especially in Race Mode, giving riders better control and confidence.
The model now comes with many high-performance features, including Riding Modes Pro, which offers different modes like Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, Race Pro 1, Race Pro 2, and Race Pro 3. These modes allow adjustments for throttle response, engine braking, traction control, wheelie control, and ABS. Standard features also include Cruise Control, Gear Shift Assistant Pro, M start-up animation, M lightweight parts, M brakes, M Titanium Exhaust, M Seat, and an anti-theft alarm system, balancing comfort, practicality, and performance.
The bike is available in the exclusive M Competition variant in Blackstorm metallic M Motorsport colors, enhanced with the full M Competition Package. This includes the M Carbon Package, which features matte carbon parts like wheel covers, a carbon tank cover, and other carbon elements that add to its sporty look.
The M Billet Pack provides adjustable rider footrests for better ergonomics. The M Competition package is rounded out with M Carbon Wheels, M Carbon Winglets, the M Endurance Chain, M Passenger Kit, and the M GPS-Laptrigger, giving it race-worthy performance with everyday usability. To emphasize its motorsport heritage, it includes an anodized rear swingarm and a black fuel tank, creating a strong, aggressive look both on the road and on the racetrack.
