National automotive manufacturer PROTON has launched the 2024 PROTON X50 with new enhancements. The X50 has been the best-selling SUV in Malaysia for four years, with over 110,000 units sold. The 2024 model offers a quieter and more refined driving experience with a new noise, vibration & harshness (NVH) package, improved road noise insulation, and a power tailgate added to Premium and Flagship variants.
2024 PROTON X50 offers several product upgrades that address feedback received from customers. The highlight among these enhancements is a new noise, vibration & harshness (NVH) package, which offers a quieter and more refined driving experience. Over 20 areas have been improved for better road noise insulation, creating a better overall interior ambience. A power tailgate has also been added to Premium and Flagship variants for ease of operation.
The 10.3” infotainment head unit (IHU) has been upgraded with a dual quad-core processor unit, providing faster bootup speed and loading time. The new infotainment also offers “Hi PROTON” voice command and PROTON Link app, featuring remote engine start and cool operation. The 2024 PROTON X50 also features a High-Definition 360 camera for clear images even in low light conditions, making parking easier and Auto Park Assist function to offer easier parking for owners. When operating the signal stalk, a 3D view of the surroundings will appear to reduces blind spots for safer lane change maneuvers up to 150 km/h.
The 1.5 litre turbocharged direct injection engine with 177 PS of power and 255Nm of torque powers the X50, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of only 7.9 seconds. Safety features include six SRS airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
PROTON is offering a limited-time Early Bird Package with incentives of up to RM8,500 to the first 5,000 customers who register their new purchase by 31 July 2024. The package includes a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, five-year data package with 1GB per month, and six times free labour service.
