UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) sold 4,856 units in February 2026, bringing total sales for the year to 9,556 units. This steady performance shows strong demand for its key models, supported by an improved product lineup at the beginning of the year and Toyota’s nationwide dealer and customer service network.
The ongoing demand is helped by UMWT’s focus on expanding its range of vehicles and ensuring consistent operations. Instead of depending on just one model, the company started 2026 with several updated and electrified options in key vehicle categories, giving customers plenty of updated choices along with a reliable ownership experience.


A major part of this early success is UMWT’s expansion of hybrid electric vehicles in important segments. The Vios Hybrid and Vios HEV GR Sport are significant steps in bringing hybrid technology into the compact sedan market, making electric efficiency available in a popular vehicle category. This growth continues with the updated Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport in the compact SUV sector, which offers both performance and everyday practicality.


In premium segments, electrification is also rising. The Vellfire HEV adds hybrid efficiency to the luxury MPV market, combining comfort with better fuel efficiency, while the Harrier HEV enhances Toyota’s D-segment SUV lineup with a sophisticated hybrid engine for buyers looking for a more premium driving experience. Overall, these four hybrid models show how UMWT’s Multi-Pathway strategy is being applied across different types of vehicles, gradually introducing electrification in sedans, SUVs, and MPVs instead of focusing on just one market segment.

Prima Pearl 4S Centre and Exciting Mobility Options

February also marked the official opening of the Prima Pearl 4S Centre in Bayan Lepas, Penang on 9 February 2026. The integrated facility combines Sales, Service and Body & Paint operations under one roof, enhancing convenience and expanding service capacity for customers in the northern region. Equipped with four display vehicles, two delivery bays, 10 general service bays and 10 Body & Paint bays, the centre contributes to Toyota’s broader nationwide infrastructure aimed at ensuring accessibility and long-term service readiness.
Beyond vehicle deliveries, UMWT continues to prioritise structured ownership support. The Toyota Service Savers programme enables routine maintenance from RM31 per month, while Toyota Extend provides extended warranty coverage for selected models nationwide. These initiatives complement Toyota’s expanding product portfolio by promoting cost transparency and long-term peace of mind throughout the ownership journey.
During the March Promotional period, UMWT is offering financing packages across selected Toyota models, with deals valued at up to RM7,500 and monthly instalments starting from RM658. These structured packages provide customers with flexible entry points into ownership as they plan their purchases in the lead-up to the festive period.
