Nothing has officially launched the Phone (4a) series in Malysia. The Nothing Phone (4a) Series blends refined premium design, bold colour options, flagship-grade cameras with an advanced periscope telephoto lens, and powerful Snapdragon performance for the mid range segment. Built on the latest Nothing OS, it reflects the technical warmth of Nothing’s hardware design while delivering a fast, fluid, and highly personal user experience.
A Standout Design
The Phone (4a) Series takes Nothing’s unique design to the next level, blending warmth with advanced technology.
The Phone (4a) Pro features a beautifully crafted metal body, sleek flat surfaces, and a slim 7.95 mm profile, making it the thinnest Nothing phone yet. Its metal finish feels premium, helps with cooling thanks to a 5300 mm² VC system, and is sturdy with IP65 dust and water resistance, including protection against being submerged in water up to 25 cm for 20 minutes.
The clear design showcases the camera and the Glyph Matrix, merging smoothly with the metal body to create a seamless look that catches the light. Silver and black pay tribute to the series’ heritage, while a metallic pink adds a trendy warmth to the brand’s design.
In the upper part of Phone (4a)’s clear design, you’ll find a central camera, a red Recording Light, and the new Glyph Bar, focusing on usability. The lower part shows the internal parts through transparent glass. Stronger metal buttons, a reinforced camera area, and a tougher frame offer increased durability, with IP64 protection and support for being submerged up to 25 cm for 20 minutes. New color options like transparent blue and soft pink bring warmth and character without losing elegance.

The Phone (4a) Pro takes photography to a new level. It has a Sony LYT700c large OIS main camera and a 50MP 3.5x OIS telephoto periscope lens, allowing for up to 140x zoom—the longest zoom on a Nothing phone and one of the best in its class. With a versatile Sony ultra-wide and a 32MP wide-angle selfie camera, it can capture everything from beautiful landscapes to lifelike portraits and crowded events with amazing clarity. Thanks to its TrueLens Engine 4, it supports Ultra XDR photos and 4K Ultra XDR video, providing HDR effects similar to Dolby Vision for realistic colors, bright highlights, and detailed images.

The Nothing Phone (4a) features an improved Glyph Bar with 63 mini-LEDs in 7 small light zones. The Phone (4a) Pro enhances this with a Glyph Matrix made of 137 mini-LEDs. It uses fewer lights but covers a 57% larger area and is 100% brighter at about 3000 nits, providing clearer and sharper notifications. Even without a special Glyph Button, popular Glyph Toys (like Battery, Timer, Digital Clock, Solar Path, and Glyph Mirror) are supported and work with the Glyph Matrix AOD feature. You can customize light patterns for calls, contacts, and notifications. The upgraded Glyph Matrix helps you stay focused, ensuring you don’t miss anything important while making notifications more fun and functional.
The devices now come with Nothing OS 4.1, based on Android 16. This version offers a cleaner and easier-to-use interface with new icons, a fresh lock screen, and an improved dark mode. You can multitask better with floating apps and adjustable Quick Settings, and widgets are more flexible than ever. The AI Dashboard allows you to manage AI features easily, while system improvements make everything run smoother and faster, and there are upgrades to the camera and gallery apps. Its peak brightness goes up to 5000 nits (HDR), making it the brightest screen from Nothing, perfect for displaying Ultra HDR photos and videos with great contrast. Gamers will enjoy quick responses thanks to 2500 Hz touch sampling, and 2160 Hz PWM dimming makes it comfortable to view in low light. The screen is protected by durable Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
