Infinix partners with Honor of Kings and MediaTek for GT 20 PRO-powered Esports tournament featuring 8 Malaysian Universities

Infinix has announced the launch of the Infinix Esports Tournament Season 3 in Malaysia, in partnership with Honor of Kings (HOK) and MediaTek. This tournament reaffirms Infinix’s growing involvement in the Malaysian esports scene, providing a platform for university-level talent to rise and compete for a prize pool of RM 10,000. 

Powered by Infinix GT 20 Pro, this tournament will kick off with online qualifiers taking place from 18th to 21st November 2024. These qualifiers will be streamed live on Infinix and Honor of Kings’ official TikTok and Facebook pages. The thrilling Final Playoffs are scheduled for 17th December 2024, where Malaysia’s top university teams will clash for the ultimate title of Champion of the Infinix Esports Tournament Season 3.

In a related development, Infinix recently established a cutting-edge game research laboratory in partnership with Honor of Kings and MediaTek. This collaboration aims to drive innovation in mobile gaming technology, optimizing game performance, and exploring AI-powered gaming innovations for players in emerging smartphone markets.

University Esports Clubs Lead the Charge

This season, eight prominent university esports clubs across Malaysia have joined forces with Infinix to host mini-tournaments and select their top teams to represent their institutions. Each university club will field two teams, with a total of 16 teams competing in the online qualifiers. The final four teams will then advance to the playoffs for a chance to claim the championship title.
